The Platform Preview 3 of Internet Explorer 9 is available for download

IE9 is where same mark-up and performance meet hardware acceleration to shatter the glass ceiling on the Web – creating endless possibilities of rich, powerful Web applications. So here the build up to our dear old friend “www.com” in a brand new avatar, made friendlier, lighter, and very very agile to help its folks get through their tasks more easily. So let’s take a sneak peek into what’s so cool about IE9…

IE9 uses your whole PC to unlock the next class of experiences for the web. It is one of the fastest browsers today and the new JavaScript engine translates into an even faster IE 9.

IE9 introduces GPU-powered Canvas & GPU-powered and and moves the browser from running on a crowded, single CPU to the fast, spacious GPU. Our partnership with NVIDIA and AMD/ATI enables a solid understanding of GPU-CPU compatibility.

Increasing our support for standards is just part of the equation for creating the next version of the world’s most popular browser. Additionally, we’ve added new tools for developers to enable them create rich, standards-compliant, interoperable Web applications while making it easy for them to test and debug their web sites.

Includes expanded support for HTML5, hardware-accelerated graphics and text, and a new JavaScript engine. Together these allow developers to use the same markup and deliver graphically and functionally rich Web applications that take advantage of modern PC hardware through a modern operating system.

IE9 + Windows + the power of hardware is like wine…it keeps getting better with time. This powerful combination makes today’s Web better and tomorrow’s Web extraordinary. It is time to tap into your whole PC and re-imagine the Web.

It will take until February to release an SDK because we’re trying to do two diametrically opposed things at once—provide an advanced and open platform to developers while at the same time protect iPhone users from viruses, malware, privacy attacks, etc. This is no easy task.

In spread sheets you have a single column display and upon navigation your are moved to other columns. Its compatibility is much with iPhone where you get more features. Still a lot to go, we have to wait for the reviews from the users. With few discriminants Google Mobile Docs is a hit.
